Management and Information Technology University, Sikkim (MIT University Sikkim) is a private university established under Act No. 11 of 2024 by the Government of Sikkim. Located in Melli, Namchi District, the university was founded by the Institute of Management & Technical Studies Foundation (IMTS Foundation) to provide world-class higher education in the northeastern region.

Our Academic Excellence

MIT University Sikkim offers comprehensive programs across 11 faculties, including Engineering & Technology, Management & Commerce, Law, Arts & Humanities, Life Sciences, and Agriculture. All programs follow the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) and align with NEP 2020 guidelines, ensuring industry-relevant education with mandatory internships and practical training.

The university reserves 25% seats for Sikkim domicile students and provides 5% merit scholarships for economically disadvantaged students. With 50% reservation in non-teaching positions for local residents, we actively contribute to regional development.
