MIT University Sikkim maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against ragging. The university is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all students.
Definition of Ragging
Ragging constitutes one or more of any act, conduct or practice including:
Physical or mental abuse including sexual harassment
Asking students to do any act or perform something which they don't want to do
Any conduct by senior students that has the effect of teasing or handling roughly
Exploiting services for completing academic tasks assigned to individuals or groups
Any act that affects the mental health and confidence of students
Financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden
Any act of indiscipline that teases, treats or handles students roughly
Abuse by spoken words, emails, posts, public insults
